Gazing out the window, I can see all the way until “the end of Tirol”. At least, this is what it feels like what with the vast swath of the river Inn down below, stretching out miles and miles further West. Not any kind of window, of course, but the panorama windows at the spa area of the arte Hotel Kufstein. Add to that, a rather unparalleled view of the famous Festung Kufstein fortress soaring to the left, and I get the feeling I’ve indeed found myself a slice of the mundane-historical Tirol I have long waited to see in such well-accomplished unison.
The arte Hotel Kufstein, only about a year old and located right inside the Kultur Quartier of Kufstein, exudes an air of modernity right inside traditional Tirol architecture, and way of life.
Large open spaces, simple decor, a hotel more common to major urban centres – and a welcome addition to the traditional Kufstein as I know it. Breakfast is huge, and long: If you, too, would like to stretch your legs after the first serve of it, and return from your city walk for a second cup of coffee, it will always be served to you by the friendly, efficient team. Kufstein itself is of course worth the while, too, no matter if you are just here for the day or would like to spend an entire weekend in town. If you are around for lunch or dinner, do grab a (vegan, vegetarian or meat) burger from the lovely “Hans im Glück” burger grill, down by the Unterer Stadtplatz. arte Hotel Kufstein will well and truly serve you as your “basecamp” for providing the perfect combination between a comfortable stay, spa, and different foodie options. Check this out.
Personally, I really enjoyed staying at the arte Hotel Kufstein in happy preparation of my participation at this year’s #STSKitzbuehel “The Social Travel Summit” in Kitzbühel. The hotel provided me with generous spa facilities, and I grew especially fond of the team at the restaurant, always welcoming me with additional cups of coffee or tea when I came down to sit there with my laptop for work. The #LifeOfATravelBlogger as it is! 😉
Disclaimer: I have been invited by arte Hotel Kufstein as part of my trip to Kufstein, and Tirol. All opinions are my own.
