“Elena discovers the wildly romantic nature and cultural landscape of the Leipziger Land” … When I first made up my mind about a slogan for my upcoming trip to the city of Leipzig & the Leipzig Lake District, I had no idea how much this expression would actually hit the mark. The landscape here is truly “romantic”, for instance when spending the night in the midst of rushing leaves high above the forest floor in a tree house at Kletterwald Leipzig. My sense of tranquility & beauty of the natural landscape around Leipzig was confirmed during a “Heathen Beaver Tour” (yes!) with my charming hiking guide Karin in the Saxon heathland. Finally, culture came into perfect play during a geocaching tour with happy Leipzig city guide Katja, of *betourt Leipzig: At Auerbach’s cellar, we have acted some Faust, feasted on what are called “Leipzig larks” and counted according to the order of our creative scavenger hunt at least 20 lions in the city centre of Leipzig. ..
And now? I am relaxing here at Camp David – All On Sea summer sports resort. The Germans are football World Champions and I am looking forward to another “wildly romantic” day in the nature around Leipzig. Thanks to the camp’s lifestyle, whoever works here is perfectly easy-going displaying a sense of inner peace & happiness (sun, summer & water sports do the rest). Today, the German guys have promised me a winning photo of their team here – topless of course. In keeping with the national winning team. Let’s see what the next entry of my trip will be about here … 😉
It is beautiful here, really. Check this out …
